Another quickie – please respond!

Here are some quick designs for my TINAT logo and I am asking for YOUR opinion (I’m too indecisive).
Which font do you like better? Which placement of the little tin hat? Do you think the colour suits it?
Remember, it’s for a company that makes scientific stuff, so it’s supposed to look corporate.

I prefer no 1 in the upper right corner, even if I dont know what the company is about. The font suits the word and the hat does not look “funny” there. Colour ok. Good luck and please dont use Optima or similar as in no 7 for this logo. 🙂

It was out of 3 or 6, I would go for 3.
I think number 1 is the best and i also like 4 and 8
