I love christmas, it’s one of my favourite times of the year. I remember in ’96 spending hours with my Gameboy playing Pokémon Red, only averting my gaze away from the screen when it was time to eat Christmas Dinner and Yule Log. Christmas and video games go hand-in-hand for me; the new worlds that I would be introduced to and totally enveloped in.
So when eBay wanted to create Christmas-themed branded content with BuzzFeed, I knew exactly what to pitch: reimagining the whole Christmas period as several 8-bit mini games.
