Shonagon Animations – Work in Progress

As announced in my previous post, I am the official film maker / animator for the new theatre production, Shonagon – The Play (written and directed by Nicole Vardon.)

I have been working on some of the animations that will be projected onto the stage to aid setting the scene. I have been animating these when I am not on shift at work, which is a nice juxtaposition between gaining experience in a post production environment and letting my creative appetite be unleashed (with some restraints of course, to be on brief ;))

I am working on getting the animation mechanics correct first, and then refining the speeds / images / etc. later to suit the projections and interactivity with the cast. All have been created using After Effects and any critique / handy hints are welcome 🙂
