Shonagon – The Play

I am proud to announce that I am the official film maker / animator for the new theatre production, Shonagon – The Play (written and directed by Nicole Vardon.) I am currently working on several short animations that will be projected onto the stage, to aid the sets of each scene.

A little about the production, as found on the official website:

The statue Fudo Myo-o is stolen from auction at Sotheby’s. Or was it stolen from Japan?

The British Museum are up in arms and Patricia MacBurney is sent to Japan to smooth over the cracks. Reporter, Aisha Pinkerton is thrust into the middle of this whirlwind political episode to cover the statue’s travels, furthering her own career whilst neglecting her own fatherless children, who search for him behind her back. Tomoko Hara is determined to get the sacred statue back to its rightful owner.

But who is the Fudo Myo-o’s rightful owner? Will all truth be revealed? Will there be enlightenment?

I also have my very own mini profile on the website:

Shonagon – The Play is showing between 10th-27th April, at the Bussey Building in Peckham.

Tickets are £10 and are available to purchase here!
